Open-source 3D-printed prosthetic arm

e-NABLE is an online global community of ‘digital humanitarian’ volunteers using 3D printers to make free and low-cost prosthetic upper limb devices for children and adults in need. Inspired by a mission to create meaningful change, WAACS set out to help e-NABLE and expand its open-source prosthetic portfolio free of charge. Sustainable first aid kit

Most first aid kits currently are made of plastics and when the contents expires the whole kit is often discarded. Vanderputte Medical is a large distributors of medical emergency equipment. WAACS used their eco-design tools to assess the environmental impact of plastic first aid kits to create a sustainable alternative. Read more…
