Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG)

Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), also known as consumer packaged goods (CPG) or convenience goods, are products that are sold quickly and at relatively low cost. These include non-durable household goods such as packaged foods, beverages, toiletries, cosmetics, over-the-counter drugs, and other consumables. FMCGs are characterized by their high inventory turnover, meaning they are purchased frequently and restocked often. They are typically found in large retail chains like hypermarkets and warehouse clubs, as well as in small convenience stores where shelf space is limited to high-turnover items. Unlike specialty products, which have lower sales and higher carrying costs, FMCGs are designed for quick consumption.
